Four-Cycle Applications Lawn care equipment operating temperatures, especially with air-cooled engines, can rise quite high, jeopardizing equipment life. In addition, conventional petroleum motor oils also become quite hot and quickly experience oxidative and thermal breakdown, resulting in premature engine wear. AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oils are ideal for use in gasoline or diesel four-cycle lawn care equipment, including tractors, mowers, sweepers and tillers. AMSOIL Motor Oils provide a wide range of protection for four-cycle air- and water-cooled engines, avoiding oxidative and thermal breakdown in high temperature, high RPM conditions and maintaining their lubricating and cooling abilities. AMSOIL Motor Oils also contain special rust and corrosion inhibitors to protect engines against condensation and water even when they’re not in use. Many four-cycle lawn equipment applications do not include oil filters, so oil dispersants must keep contaminants and wear particles suspended in the oil until it is drained. As petroleum oil breaks down, these cleaning additives are quickly depleted, causing deposits and sludge to build up and resulting in premature engine wear. AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke® Small Engine Oil resists heat and reduces oil consumption. It provides excellent protection for transmission systems and is ideal for hydraulic or hydrostatic systems and chain cases. AMSOIL Engine Fogging Oil AMSOIL Engine Fogging Oil (FOG) offers superior film retention, providing long-term protection against corrosion and dry starts, extending engine life and reducing operating expenses. Its aerosol spray formulation offers easy and clean applications, while reaching more components and offering complete distribution of the oil. AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer When the season winds down and it’s time to put lawn care equipment into storage, be sure to treat your equipment with AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer (AST). AMSOIL Gasoline Stabilizer keeps fuel from deteriorating during storage by reducing the oxidation process and preventing the varnish and gum buildup that clogs injectors, sticks floats and causes poor engine performance. Treat rate is one ounce with every 2.5 gallons of fuel. Designed for lean mix ratios in twocycle motors, Saber Professional has excellent lubricity and cleanliness properties, controlling friction and preventing wear, plug fouling, ring sticking and exhaust port blocking. Saber Professional is specifically designed for small engines including, but not limited to, chain saws, lawn equipment, blowers,chop saws, pumps, and carts. It is formulated with high temperature detergent additives that prevent hard carbon deposits from forming in these hot operating motors. Saber Professional is “smokeless” and delivers fewer emissions at 100:1 mix ratios than oils mixed at 50:1.
